Does the Thought of Applying Eye Liner give you the Heebie-Jeebies?

In this month's issue of Elle, M.A.C senior artist Fatima Thomas gives a liner lesson:

"For the perfect cat eye, outline the wing shape with a pencil, then fill it in."

I say go for filling it in with pencil, cream, OR liquid liner.

My personal fave is MAC fluid liner.  Goes on smoothly and no smudging on my Asian eyes. I have it in Blacktrack and use Small Angle Brush # 208 to apply it. Layering a shadow over it also keeps it going on all day.

There are plenty of marker-like liners that make it easy to "draw" on your eyes.

YouTube makeup guru Michelle Phan is a big fan of Lancome's ArtLiner.

At $29.50 a pop, the Art Liner can be pricey. But based on reviews, a great alternative is L'Oreal Paris Telescopic Precision Liquid Eyeliner for around $7!

As you know with many things in life, practice makes perfect when it comes to putting on eye liner. But don't worry about mistakes. You can always wipe away your boo-boos. Back in the day, I used to wipe a wet Q-tip to fix mistakes. But an even more precise clean-up is using a slanted brush dipped in makeup remover.

Pretty soon, you'll be rocking these looks!

Good Luck!
