I was at a photo shoot recently talking to the hair stylist about detangling my hair.  She immediately gushed about the Mason Pearson brush, which got me extremely curious about the brand.

When I started my research on the brush, unimpressive photos popped up. The brush resembled something out of an old man's barber shop during colonial times. Or a tool to brush your horse's tail or remove the dirt off of your shoes.

But I really should not judge the benefits of this brush by the look of its design.

Apparently, hair stylists and beauty magazines alike tout Mason Pearson as the holy grail of hair brushes.

Knowing When to Buy

Admit it...you HATE buying a plane ticket only to find out that the price went down the next day! Ok, so maybe you aren't as neurotic as I am (lucky you, it's a hard way to live).

Anyway, use Bing to check out fare predictions!

And although it must be nice to just be done with once you buy your tickets, I do want to add this little tidbit for crazy people like myself. A lot of major airlines allow you to hold your ticket or cancel it within 24 hours without a penalty if you DO find a better deal within that window of time! Nice.

Victoria's Secret at the Gym

Because I am very small on top (even that is a generous way to put it), if I wear a sports bra, I resemble an 11-year-old boy.  Therefore, I tend to avoid sports bras altogether.

Recently, I was asked to wear a sports bra to an audition and obviously, I wanted to look good.  I started asking around about padded sports bras because I figured that they should exist for us less endowed ladies.  My friend said she saw some at Victoria's Secret, which shouldn't have surprised me. That SHOULD have been the first place I researched. Apparently, the line is pretty new and readily available online but only offered at one location when I looked around NYC.

Reuse That Toilet Paper Roll

Before throwing away the cardboard rolls from toilet paper and paper towels, consider other uses for them.

Our buddy, Molly, shared an idea in which you cut a toilet paper or paper towel roll lengthwise and cuff it around a tube of gift wrapping paper to prevent it from unrolling.  It will also help a roll of wrapping paper without a tube stay rolled up.
