Review: Moroccan Oil Treatment

My hair is pretty damaged from previous dyeing and perms.  So when I found a fantastic deal on Bloomspot for a haircut, shampoo, and Moroccan Oil treatment, I had to take advantage of it!

My Attempt at the Modern French Manicure

I thought this seemed like a very do-able take on the French Manicure.

(for some reason, the video keeps changing. If it's not the DIY French Tips, here's the link)

Here's what happened when I attempted this at home.

An Easy Meal!

I'm a lazy chef.  I can't say that I'm a horrible cook because I honestly don't try too hard.

It's the thought of buying all the groceries, mixing all the ingredients, and the COOKING part.

So here's an easy recipe!

Plain yogurt is the BEST.  You can throw in honey, fruits, oatmeal, granola, pretty much whatever you want!

Cover that Naked iPad!

I have been enjoying my time with my iPad.  Sure, sometimes I get annoyed when I am limited in the functions and want to throw my iPad against the wall and wish I had gone back in time and gotten a Macbook Air...BUT I still appreciate this overpriced tablet. "Shh...my iPad, I didn't mean what I said. I love you."

One of my favorite things to do is to read on my iPad.  Like, ALL the time. I'm one of those obnoxious NYC pedestrians who read on the sidewalks and will inevitably get hit by a cab.

Anyway, I have a Logitech Keyboard Cover that I use, but I bought another front and back cover that makes it the iPad more accessible and is protective at the same time.

The Power of Writing Things Down (or how NOT writing things down led me to watching porn)

We TOTALLY underestimate the importance of writing things down.  And it doesn't have to be the "old-timey" method of putting pen to paper.  It can be via typing into your iPad or whatever doohickey you kids use nowadays.

The CRUCIAL thing is that you can get to it quickly and you don't lose what you wrote.  Because then what's the point, right?  You just thought of the greatest Twitterism EVER and even got to your McDonald's napkin in time to document it perfectly word for word. And then later that night you realize you chucked that nugget of wisdom/comedy/bitterness-poking-at-some-minority-group into the garbage with your Big Mac crumbs. Yes, you will never get that back. Sad face.

All of Your Favorite Blogs in One Place!

I LOVE to catch up on my favorite blogs, and it's a bummer when the inconvenience of signing into various blog sites keeps me behind in my readings.

It's also not fun to create accounts for blog sites in order for me to read my subscriptions.  For example, I don't personally use a Tumblr account, but I have friends who use Tumblr for their blogs.  I don't want to bookmark each web page to check for updates so I log in to see all the people I'm following.

Now I don't have to create those useless accounts. And I don't have to check to see if someone updated. Because Bloglovin' lets me see only the updated blogs.

That's where SniqueAway comes in and does the work for you!  SniqueAway gives you fabulous prices on accommodations that were awarded at least a 4-out-of-5 star rating on TripAdvisor from unbiased recommendations and reviews by actual travelers.

My Review on the Japonesque Go Curl Pocket Curler

I have really stubby, wimpy lashes.  I've accepted my lot in life.  But it doesn't mean I don't try to AMP up these babies in any way that I can!

I have a Shu Uemura eyelash curler that many people rave about (I think it's just ok.)  I heard that Shu Uemura curlers were discontinued in the States, and you can only get them here.  Anyway, I took the line being discontinued in the US and a desire for a more portable design as an excuse to hunt for another brand.

Through Amazon research and reviews, I came across the Japonesque brand and their cute little Go Curl Pocket Curler.

Spotify Mobile App

image via spotify.com

I got an email last night that notified me that Android users could now play FREE radio from Spotify.  iPhone users had received this option about a month ago, and both applications provide the same functionalities.  Previously, only paying subscribers could get any mobile access to Spotify.
