Working on SNL During a Snow Blizzard = Free Stay at The Palace Hotel

While the city shut down on Saturday and I imagined people making it a Netflix and Chill kinda night, I was traipsing around Manhattan.

Late Thursday evening, I received a text for possible background work on Saturday Night Live. Background/extras means the randoms you see in those SNL sketches or digital shorts. This would be my second time working on SNL. The first was a digital short with Ryan Gosling. This is us before we all broke out into the Thriller dance. New York City has finally thawed! Which totally means...

BRUNCH + Central Park!

I had no idea that Central Park had so many beautiful gardens .  If you haven't already done so, be sure to check out the Conservatory Garden. Pretty flowers and allergeeeez. But seriously, it's worth it!

I also had no idea that you can't order alcohol on Sunday before noon. I found that out during brunch at The Smith (looking like a total alcoholic when I asked if the server could just keep my Bloody Mary in mind when it hits noon).

I may have posted this pic already from a past brunch at The Smith. But it gives you an idea of the goodness there. Also, I ordered the same chicken sandwich I did last time. So it's still a pic of my most recent meal?

Brooklyn Heights Visit

The buildings are so cute.

Audition for a cop role.  The guy in the lobby of the casting office building: "You're a police officer, right?" Yes! I had to dig through my closet for this one. What do you think?

Dealing with tiny bathrooms for outfit changes between auditions.  

Casting for "party girl".  The notes I got said to wear a cocktail dress or an evening gown.  Everyone else came in hoochie wear.  I looked like a bridesmaid compared to them.  Hoochie wear made a lot more sense.
